Nicole Egert ist eine zeitgenössische Künstlerin aus Deutschland. Ihre Themen sind Licht, Raum und Oberfläche. Die atmosphärischen Seelandschaften spiegeln Natur, Erinnerung und Emotionen wider. Nicole Egerts Werke werden international ausgestellt und befinden sich in Privatsammlungen in Europa, Asien und Nordamerika.
"Ich lebe in Deutschland und den Niederlanden, dort in der Nähe der Nordsee. Am Meer bin von inspirierenden Motiven umgeben. Fasziniert hat mich schon immer die dramatische Atmosphäre dieser fast unberührten Natur und der ständige Wechsel des Lichtes, welche die natürliche Landschaft um mich herum, sowie meine emotionale Reaktion darauf verändert. Ich liebe es, mich kreativ auszudrücken. Für mich gibt es viele Aspekte des kreativen Prozesses. Einer dieser Aspekte ist es, in der Natur unterwegs zu sein. Meine größten Inspirationsquellen sind der Himmel, das Meer und der Horizont. Häufig halte ich mich in der Natur auf, fotografiere oder erstelle kleine Studien mit Aquarell oder Pastellkreiden in meinem Skizzenbuch. Diese Studien werden später Schicht um Schicht mit Acrylfarben, Acrylic Inks, Pinsel und Malmesser auf Leinwand umgesetzt."
Nicole Egert studierte Kunst, Englisch und Pädagogik an der Universität Bielefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen in Deutschland. Sie ist Mitglied im BBK Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler Westfalen e.V., im Künstlerinnenforum bi-owl e.V. und in der Künstlerinnengruppe Achterkant.
Nicole Egert is a contemporary artist from Germany. Her topics are light, space and surface. The atmospheric seascapes reflect nature, memory and emotions. Nicole Egert's works are exhibited internationally and can be found in private collections in Europe, Asia and North America.
"I live in Germany and the Netherlands near the North Sea. At this beautiful coast I am surrounded by inspiring motives. I have always been fascinated by the dramatic atmosphere of this almost untouched nature and the constant change of light, which changes the natural landscape around me and my emotional reaction to it. I love to express myself creatively. For me, there are many different aspects of the creative process. One of these aspects is being around nature. My biggest sources of inspiration are the sky, the sea and the horizon. Often I spend my time near the sea, taking pictures or making small studies with watercolor and pastel crayons in my sketchbook. These studies will later be applied to canvas layer by layer with acrylic paints, acrylic inks, brushes and palette knives."
Nicole Egert studied Fine Arts, English and Education at the University of Bielefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany. The artist is a member of the BBK Bundesverband Bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler Westfalen e.V., the Künstlerinnenforum bi-owl e.V. and the artist group Achterkant.

Nicole Egert präsentiert ebenfalls eine quadratische, abstrakt gestaltete Arbeit. Doch durch den Titel »North« und die horizontal gesetzten Streifen in zarten, pastelligen
Blau-und Erdtönen stellt sich ad hoc die Assoziation einer nordischen Küstenlandschaft ein. Die meisten Streifen sind monochrom ausgeführt, andere, meist schmale Streifen werden mit vertikal
gesetzten kurzen Strichen oder sich unregelmäßig überlappenden Bogenlinien belegt.
Die unterschiedlichen horizontalen Reihungen bewirken eine Rhythmisierung des unendliche Weite assoziierenden Bildraumes, in dem sich die Faszination der Künstlerin für die dramatische
Atmosphäre der fast unberührten Natur der Nordsee widerspiegelt. Der ständige Wechsel des Lichtes in der freien Natur führt hier unweigerlich zur abwechslungsreichen Deklination der Behandlung
von Raum, Oberfläche und Helligkeits-werten. Die nach allen Seiten offene Komposition hat einen meditativ fesselnden Charakter.

Nicole Egert also presents a square, abstract work. However, the title “North” and the horizontal stripes in delicate pastel shades of blue and earth tones immediately bring to mind a Nordic
coastal landscape. Most of the stripes are monochrome, while others, mostly narrow stripes, are covered with short vertical strokes or irregularly overlapping curved lines.
The different horizontal rows create a rhythm in the pictorial space, which evokes the infinite vastness of the North Sea's dramatic atmosphere, reflecting the artist's fascination with it. The
constant change of light in the great outdoors inevitably leads to a varied treatment of space, surface, and brightness values. The composition, open on all sides, has a meditatively captivating
character.

Nicole Egert ist in der Ausstellung mit zwei Exponaten beteiligt, hier im Katalog abgebildet das Werk mit dem Titel „Surface" Inspiriert von der fast unberührten Natur der südholländischen
Küste fängt sie atmosphärisch die Bewegung der Wellen und die ständig wechselnden Reflexionen des Lichts auf der Oberfläche des Wassers ein.
Die Faszination für die raue Atmosphäre der nordischen Seelandschaft lässt die Künstlerin Bilder erschaffen, in denen die Kühle der Meeresbrise spürbar wird. Das Bild „surface" spielt mit
seiner rund gestalteten Visualisierung in Blaunuancen auf die Bezeichnung der Erde als „Blauer Planet" an, sind doch ca. 71% der Erdoberfläche von Meeren bedeckt.
Wie der Blick des Astronauten aus dem All auf die Erdkugel erscheint dieses Bild - doch Festland sucht man hier anscheinend vergeblich - ein Hinweis auf die dramatisch steigenden
Meeresspiegel durch den Klima-wandel.
Das ebenfalls in der Ausstellung präsente Bild „Ocean" fesselt die Betrachter durch seinen meditativen Charakter, der die stille Atmosphäre der fast unberührten Natur der Nordsee
widerspiegelt. Der ständige Wechsel des Lichtes in der freien Natur führt hier unweigerlich zur abwechslungsreichen Deklination der Behandlung von Raum, Oberfläche und Helligkeitswerten, die sich
in horizontal gesetzten Streifen in zarten, pastelligen Blau- und Erdtönen manifestiert und ad hoc die Assoziation einer nordischen Küstenlandschaft evoziert.

coast, she atmospherically captures the movement of the waves and the constantly changing reflections of light on the surface of the water.
The artist's fascination with the rugged atmosphere of the Nordic seascape inspires her to create images in which the coolness of the sea breeze is palpable. With its rounded visualisation in
shades of blue, the image “Surface” alludes to the designation of the Earth as the “Blue Planet”, as approximately 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans.
This image resembles an astronaut's view of the globe from space – yet mainland seems to be nowhere to be found, a reference to the dramatic rise in sea levels caused by climate change.
The painting “Ocean,” also featured in the exhibition, captivates viewers with its meditative character, reflecting the tranquil atmosphere of the almost untouched nature of the North Sea. The
constant change of light in the great outdoors inevitably leads to a varied treatment of space, surface, and brightness values, which manifests itself in horizontal stripes in delicate, pastel
